Swimmer's Fly Videos from Oct 7th Practice

I apologize for the cheesy music. YouTube doesn't have an option to remove all audio from a clip and the background splashing and the sound of my voice was unnecessarily painful.

3 POINTS TO FLY
THE CATCH, THE PRESS
& THE KICK



1. THE CATCH
  1. Always Push water towards the feet
  2. Press the body, and chin forward and down
  3. Get a good catch, fingers closed, with hands higher than your head on entry, and shoulder width apart or wider!


2. THE PRESS
  1. Swimmers should work on pressing the chin and chest forward with the eyes looking slightly forward (not all the way or at the wall!)



3. THE KICK
  1. Bend your knees to set up your kick. 
  2. Bring your knees slightly forward. 
  3. Slam your kick down! A good fly kick should extend past your body line, see below!
