Congrats to all our 10 and unders that made their way out to Sunnyvale to compete in the annual 10 and under short course championships meet. I saw so many new best times, new team records, and new qualifier times from our participating swimmers!

Lauryn Lucero was our only girl competing in the 6 and under division and did amazing by finishing 4th in the 6 and under 50y free with a final time of 46.67, 4th in the 100 free with a final time of 1:45.98, 2nd in 50 breast with a 59.88, 3rd in the 100 IM with a 1:57.76.

Jenika Tanjuakio competed in the 8 year old girl division and finished 3rd in the 50 free with a 33.36, shattering our team record set by Caitlin O'Neill in 2010. She also placed 5th in the 50 backstroke with a 40.43 and won the 25 butterfly with a 16.76, a new team record in the event, also shattering the team record she had previously set by nearly 2 full seconds! She placed 5th in the 50 yard fly with a 38.52, another team record broken that was previously held by O'Neill set in 2010.

Jill Lucero was our only 9 year old competitor and had a solid meet. She went a new best time in the 100 backstroke with a 1:27.50, finishing 9th in the event. She also went 48.5 in the 50 breaststroke and 1:44.85 in the 100 Breaststroke.

Great Job Abigail!

Caitlin O'Neill went 6:16 in her 500 free, finishing 4th in the event and dropping over 20 seconds. She also broke the team record in this event which was set in 2010 by Keiana Fountaine. She finished 8th in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:22.00. She also placed 15th in 100 fly with a 1:17, a new Far Western time in the event, a best time by 7 seconds, and a new team record breaking the 2011 time set by Brianna Carino. Caitlin also went 4th in the 100 IM with a 1:13, resetting her own team record in the event.

Jill, Abby, Caitlin and Jenika also swam in our first official EA-PC relay, going 2:10.15 in the 200 free and winning their heat with an 11th overall in the event.
