Thank you to all the families that helped make our age group meet a success! It was a bit windy this weekend but we managed to beat our timelines by over an hour each day! We had no major or even minor delays and the meet ran as smooth as possible. Way to go!

We also had two new Junior Olympic swimmers qualify at this meet, and our first two ten and under boys of the season. Zachary Chau (10) in the 100m Butterfly event, and Isaac Russell-Cheung (8) in the 50m breaststroke. Isaac is our first 8un boy in the team's history to qualify for the 10un age division at the Junior Olympics! Awesome job boys!

As a team, our goal was to break over 30 team records at the first Long Course Meter (LCM) meet of the season. We not only met this challenge but shattered it, with 34 records broken and 60 swims making the top 2 rankings in the club's history!

Some notable record breakers were Lauryn Lucero in the 8un girls group, shattering 6 team records, Lauryn's swims also took new Central Valley USA records in the 50 free, 100 free, 50 back, 50 breast, and 50 fly, Isaac Russell-Cheung swims took 5 team records and central valley records in the 50 back, 50 breast, and 50 fly. Isaac is the first 8un boy from the valley to qualify for the 10un LCM Junior Olympics and Lauryn is the 2nd 8un girl!

There were also many other record breakers in the 11-12, 13-14, and 17-18 age groups. Be sure to check our complete records page for the updates

A special congratulations must go out to Decland Coombs and Logan Edwards, the first two 8un boys to complete the 400m freestyle in the history of the central valley's USA swims.
