This was an amazing weekend for all our competing athletes! It was raining, cold, and more than one spectator was taken out by flying canopies, but all of our swimmers went hands down best times.

Meigan Loomis dropped two full seconds in both the 100 Breaststroke with a strong race and close, consistent splits, with a 1:39.59, and in the 100 IM with a 1:32.09!

This was 8 and unders Aislinn Coombs and jenika Tanjuakio's first winter meet and they both came ready to compete. In the 25y Butterfly Aislinn dropped two full seconds, winning her heat and taking 1st in the B divison with 20.86. Her time would have placed her 7th overall! Jenika dropped nearly a full second to win this event with an 18.05.

In the 50y Freestyle Aislinn dropped over 11 seconds to a 42.71. Getting her first in the C division, with a time that would have won the B division and a time that would place her in the top 16 for the A division. Jenika also dropped a full second in this event with a 35.34, placing her 3rd in A division.

In 25 Free Jenika went 16 seconds, coming in second in the A division event. She also dropped 5 seconds in the 50 backstroke to go 41.40, coming in third in the A division. In breaststroke she dropped a full second to go 49.41, 5th in A division.

My personal favorite swim from the weekend was Jenika's 100 IM, where she not only dropped 4 full seconds and placed 4th in A, but she went out in a 17.7 in her 25 fly and came back in a 22.3 in her 25 back to make her first 50 split at :40!
