Thank you to all our amazing families who came out for the three day weekend to Morgan Hill's Pacific Region Age Group Open Fall Meet! We placed 4th this year, and this was our first time placing competitively at an Age Group open meet!

As a coach I was very proud of not only how our swimmers performed, but how they carried themselves at the meet. I saw many of our more experienced swimmers helping out our newer athletes during warm-ups and before races. I was also happy to see swimmers cheering on others who they may have only met once or twice before.

On performance, we had tons of new A, JO, FARW, and PRT time standards met throughout the weekend. I saw some incredible time drops through all three days in all distances. I also saw waves of our 12 and unders just a second or so away from qualifying for their first Junior Olympic times. I can't wait to see just how many we can get qualified over the next few months before the December Junior Olympic Championships meet! Next team meet is LODI! I know we will see many more swimmers become qualifiers there!

8 and under division!
We had 4 new 7 and under swimmers compete this weekend in their first SCY meet! Congratulations to Jessie Davis, Cassidy O'Neill, Medha Boddugari, Jamilyn Lewis and Michaela Hickok! No DQ's at their first meet!

Nika Bergado picked up new "A" times in the 100 Free on her first time swimming the event! Ariana Munoz, Yaelle, Tanjuakio, and Harsini Prakash also picked up new A times too! Lauryn Lucero picked up new PRT times in the 50y free, 50y fly, and 100 IM, and putting her 2 seconds away from 9-10 Junior Olympic times in 50 free, 50 fly!

With the boys Jacob Ballutay, Logan Edwards, Declan Coombs, and Isaac Russell-Cheung all swam best times in every one of their events! Diego Orihuela dropped time in his butterfly and backstroke events too.

9-10 division
Jilliyn Lucero and Jenika Tanjuakio were our big point scorers for the 9-10 group at the meet. Both girls now have either JO's or Far Westerns time cuts in every event they swam at the meet! Liahla Fernandez picked up new SCY JO's in the 100 and 200 Freestyle events. Julian Munoz picked up new SCY JO's in 100 Breast and 50y Fly.

Aislinn Coombs, Sruthika Prakash, Ryan Cox, and Abby and Kayla Medellin were only a half second to a few seconds away from qualifying in one or more event! I'm hoping to see a huge 10 and under group for this Winter's JO's!

Marijo Pena and Sofia Orihuela each picked up new B times at the meet, with Sofia in the 50y free and Marijo in the 100 back and 50 breast. Zackary Chau picked up a new B time as well in the 50 Fly.
